Abstract
The research aims to identify the levels of causal attribution among football coaches as well as to identify the differences between internal and external attribution between coaches for the research sample through the construction and application of the causal attribution scale among football coaches. The researcher assumed a discrepancy between the levels of causal attribution among coaches and the ownership of a large percentage of coaches for internal attribution. The researcher used the descriptive method for its suitability for the research sample, which included football coaches for Iraqi league clubs for the central and southern regions, and the researcher used in his study the causal attribution scale built by the researcher.
One of the most important conclusions reached by the researcher was: the construction and application of the causal attribution scale among football coaches, and the results showed a high level of causal attribution in the internal field more than the external field. The results also showed a difference in the level of causal attribution among the members of the application sample, and also the winning trainers attribute their victory to internal reasons such as effort and ability, and attribute their loss to external causes such as luck and coincidence.
