The Role of the Banking Sector in Achieving Sustainable Development in Iraq for the Period (2005-2021)

Abstract

Sustainable development is one of the main directions that countries aspire to, and set plans and policies in order to harmonize with their standards and shift towards patterns of economic activities that take into account the requirements of sustainable development.The research aims to determine the orientations of Iraqi banks towards financing sustainable development, as it is one of the most important financial institutions in providing financial services and a basic pillar in financing economic projects. Towards beneficial uses and in a way that achieves the maximum possible benefit, in addition to many other jobs and activities that lead in their entirety to improving economic performance. To advance the Iraqi banking sector while achieving sustainable development for the country.
