Financial Sustainability and its Role in Achieving Sustainable Economic Growth in Iraq for the Period (2004-2021)

Abstract

The Iraqi economy has been suffering for a long time from an imbalance in the productive structure, which is embodied in the distortion of the relationships of the economic structures and the proportions that make up the economic system due to the widespread diversity of sources of income and the increase in expenditures, which makes it move away from what economic theory stipulates in terms of proportional relationships between the research variables. Therefore, the research aims to highlight the role that financial sustainability can play in achieving sustainable economic growth, given the continuous renewal that this topic enjoys, as financial sustainability represents a necessary condition for adopting a financial policy that would contribute to achieving sustainable economic growth. In addition to knowing the deficiencies that can be addressed in order for financial sustainability to contribute to achieving sustainable economic growth in Iraq during the period of the study, through analyzing indicators of financial sustainability and sustainable economic growth in Iraq during the period (2004-2021).
